Hi There,
We are always looking to work with amazing Makeup Artists. We are looking for Professional Makeup Artists to meet to work with our Boudoir Clients at our studio. We work to have Makeup Artist that we can trust to refer our clients and potential clients to when they are searching for someone to do their makeup for their sessions. We are a small business and we are looking to work with independent Artists. We want to work with Makeup Artists that have the same business views that we do such as: Professionalism, punctuality, a people person, respectful, able to work with all skin tones and ethnicities, able to provide a variety of makeup styles, etc.

1. I am 18 years old. Can I have Boudoir photos done at your studio?
Although 18 is considered an adult, we have decided to only photograph women 21 years of age and older for Boudoir in our studio.

2. I’m not sure if I want my images on line, will my photos be on your website etc.?
Boudoir is a private in nature and we respect that. All the images seen on our website, blog, Facebook, in our marketing etc., are by written permission only. All our Boudoir clients sign a privacy release saying how we can, if at all, use there images.

3. I don’t have perfect skin like the ladies on your website, do you retouch your images?
Images that are seen during your Premier (viewing) appointment has our Proof Processing and images in your final order will receive full retouching on the skin. Previously, only the images in the final album received full skin retouching. Effective immediately, all images for calendars, albums, mini albums, DVD’s etc will receive Full Retouching on the skin. My goal is not to change the person that you are in our retouching but enhance your natural beauty by smoothing skin, enhancing eyes and removing blemishes.

4. I’m not sure how to look sexy in my photos. I think I may look silly.
Don’t worry…I am here to coach you throughout your session in posing and expressions. You will have fun and forget all about being nervous in this regards. I know that my clients are not models, but beautiful moms, wives, the girl next door, etc. We will have fun bringing out your inner alter ego

Can I combine Sexy Boudoir Glam with a Lingerie Boudoir Session? No Unfortunately. When clients book a session, we send out a Questionnaire with information for the upcoming session, the style of session, etc. This allows me to see your vision. Now you will have the option to choose Lingerie Boudoir or Sexy Boudoir Glam. They won't be mixed into the same session.

Is there a price difference for the Sexy Boudoir Glam Session? No there isn't. All Boudoir Sessions are priced the same. The only thing that is changing is the session style option.

Alter Ego Photo Shoots Now Available

I have had a great response since we introduced Alter Ego Photo Shoots. There is a dormant personality in each of us that is waiting for the moment to unleash its' vitality to the world. Alter Ego Photo Shoots allow that persona to let its walls down & give voice to the inner you. Our Alter Ego Photos start at $499 and range from a simple concepts with 2 different looks/clothing to a more detailed, elaborant concepts. Each session can last up to 4 hours depending on the concept, clothing and hair changes, etc. Alter Ego Photo shoots are designed to be an Artistic Product. I have include a FAQ below that hopefully will answer a few of your questions:

1. Are the Alter Ego sessions for locations? Currently, we only offer Alter Ego photo shoots for the studio

2. What is the amount needed to book an Alter Ego Session? Depending on the type, concept of session, etc. your minimum requirement to book your session $150 Non Refundable Deposit. The final payment is due 2 weeks prior to the session.

3. Do your makeup sessions include a makeup artist? Unless we are offering a special promotion, Makeup Artists are not included in the pricing. We do have makeup artist that you can contact.

4. How long does the session last? The minium amount of time for a Alter Ego Session is 3 hours.

5. Is a consultation required? Yes, in order to discuss your concept for your session, I do require a pre session consulation.

The Making of a Silk Elegance Boudoir Portrait

I have been blessed to photograph some beautiful women for boudoir. I strive to create an experience for each of you that cause you see and feel just how beautiful and sexy you are, just in who you are as a woman. Most women asked the same question when they contact me, Are those models on yours site?...Will my images be retouched??? So I want to address the process of creating my images for boudoir:

1. Each person is photographed in a way that compliments them. I use lighting & coaching to insure that you look and feel your best.

2. Images are prepared for The Premier Appointment ( preview of images). These images are not fully retouched. Prior to you seeing your premier images they are color corrected, contrast is added to ensure proper skin tone, etc and then a light smoothing to the skin. I will choose a few of my favorites to do the complete retouching, editing, etc. just to give an idea of what your final images will look like in the finished product.

3. Once you choose your images for your album (all packages include an album) those images will be fully retouched, meaning the final blemishes are removed, eyes enhanced, skin smoothed to perfection. This is all done at no additional cost. However; for body enhancements, etc. there is an additional fee.

Finally, Images are sent to a professional lab and printed on linien textured photographic paper. Take a look at the example below to see a visual process......

I love when new ideas for photography flood through my mind but not at 4:00 a.m. in the morning...Yes I have been awake since 4:00 a.m. this morning with so many ideas for sessions, set ideas for babies, Alter Ego's and so much more. My mind has been flooded. So here I am up at my regular time and trying to decide what to do first....Bring in the models for the Alter Ego Sessions.....Design set ideas for newborns with different props/materials ideas etc....I love when God gives me new things, yet sometimes I wish it was at 8:00 a.m. instead of 4:00 a.m.
Needless to say, I have work ahead of me....Have your ever thought of what your alter ego is? You know your playful self with the 9-5 person....or the quiet mom by day/sexy diva by night? or better yet the the quiet student/talented songstress... I've considered many times long ago if doing Alter Ego sessions would fit into my style and the thoughts have come around again....So with my cup of coffee in my hands to hold open my eyes..pen/paper in hand....I sketch out what and how this is to be done......I look forward to sharing my new ideas with you.

My boudoir session

As previously posted, I had my boudoir session on yesterday. Previously I had asked Rosie to do my makeup because I wanted to update my headshots for my websites and it evolved into I wanted to feel sexy and special. My beautiful Friend Tonya, who is not a photographer, said if I wanted her to she would take the photos for me if I told her what to do. I was so happy to hear that because having her do this for me would make the session even more fun.....Well the session from beginning to end. The day before, Tonya & I went to Ross to choose my outfit/shoes for my session. I felt like a little girl in a grown up moment...FYI Ladies, you don't have to spend a fortune to get ready for your session. I found a beautiful outfit and shoes for great prices at Ross. Rosie came to the studio and did my makeup beautifully...I was a little nervous prior to everyone getting to the studio..Rosie made my eyes sparkle in a way that I had never seen before. My eyes are a hazle/light brown and they looked so beautfiul that I almost cried. Rosie asked what look I wanted and I trusted her to do her thing and she did not disappoint. The whole experience made me feel special, beautiful, & sexy. I'm so glad I did it.

Tonya followed directions as I told her where to stand and how to photograph me for my Red Satin Set. We had so much fun...we laughed so hard. Thank you Tonya for being a great friend and doing this for me. It was very hard to give up the control of my camera and allow someone else to photograph me....After the boudoir portion was over, I asked her to snap a few shots for my headshots...then I danced and told her to keep snapping....Wow! I had a perfect day...I don't remember when I smiled so much..

Thanks Girls for making my day so special...Now I know how my Silk Elegance Boudoir ladies feel and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to experience this....Once I'm done editing the images I will post a few sneak peeks....

We all need a pick me up sometimes...We go through changes, gain weight, lose weight, etc, etc...and it comes a time that we can use something to remind us how special we are as women and know that we are beautiful and SEXY. Well It's my time to feel what you guys feel when you are in front of the camera for your boudoir session. I will be doing my own boudoir session this weekend, That's right, My own Sexy, Diva session:) this all started that I needed to update my photos for my website and for some studio videos for the new year and it has evolved into I want to do a Silk Elegance Session for me...I DESERVE IT...So stay tuned for an update...Rosie Moreno, my favorite makeup artist, we will be doing my makeup...I can't wait....Believe it or not , The closer it gets to the day, the more nervous I get, GO Figure!

Depleting the perfect body image-My 2 cents worth

I am always sitting and thinking how I can better understand myself and other women in how we see ourselves. Women have been criticized for being too skinny, too heavy, not having a big enough breast size through the media and in our personal lives. We have become so use to the perfect models in ads and artist on the cover of the CD and in our favorite magazines, that we sometimes find ourselves comparing ourselves to them. I wish I had their legs. I wish I had her eyes. I wish my stomach was a flat as hers. What I am finding lately is the overworking of images for magazines is being seen as an insult to the person being photographed. As a woman, I fall victim to the worlds illusion of the sexy body, the perfect shape, etc, etc. However; each day I strive to take back my control of what beauty really is.

Silk Elegance Boudoir is not just about sexy photos of women. Silk Elegance Boudoir, the name itself means a great deal to me. I wanted something that to me represents what a women is in the vision of how she was created. Silk-soft, feels awesome to the touch, sensual....Elegance- tasteful, classy..... all of what a woman represents to me...A genuine creature of softness, sensual, classy & beautiful.

Ladies, take back control of your idea of what is perfect....We are perfect because of who we are...once we except that, everything else falls into place.....

Lady..stop worrying if you have a little bulge. You can easily hide that area by choosing the right lingerie. A baby-doll cami does double duty: it skims over your middle and makes you look and feel super sexy!

You can also conceal that little pouch and sex it up a little with a high-waisted lacy brief. A flattering panty can take many forms but it could be useful to disguise your slightly curvier middle with a high waist. Try one in a darker shade to create a flattering optical illusion. Stay away from a tiny thong!!

1. The Model is relaxed and she doesn't looked posed.

2. She is not focused on the camera and her eyes are closed and relaxed.

3. Her lips are partially separated, breathing through her lips (you will hear this a lot during your boudoir session)

The Deadline for the Mother's Day Contest is tomorrow, 04/10/09..Yesterday I received the most touching nomination for a mom. Here is a little of the nomination story:

***** raised two children on her on (and might I add she did a wonderful job on her own). When her two children became teenagers, she met someone whom she later married and had two more children by. After giving birth to the younger children (which were only about a year apart) she began having marital problems. **** found herself a single mother again and had to move out of her beautiful home. However, she did not let that stop her. She continued to work a take care of her children. Around the time that she had become a grandmother, her oldest son got terminally ill. She stood by her son’s side for months and months. In the midst of all of this, a fire destroyed the new home that she managed to get on her own. A few months later, the oldest son died. What amazes me most is how **** has continued to smile and keep her head up. She never plays ‘the victim’ and continually praises God through everything.
